I am very excited to share my new Ebook with you.  This Ebook has taken several months to compile but I am very happy with how it turned out!!  For a busy mom of 2, I have had little time to work on it-and every chance I did I had 2 little ones hovering around!!  So, my 2 month deadline was extended to an 8 month deadline!!

So, what is this Ebook all about?

One of the things I do for my business is to
do demonstrations to groups of people about adding in more healthy foods into their lives.  I show how to make different recipes and then let everyone taste.  I have received so much great feedback and have heard wonderful stories of how moms are getting their kids to eat things like spinach and kale!!  One of the things though that so many moms asked over and over is, “What do you feed your children for breakfast, lunch and dinner?” These moms wanted meal ideas for their kids.  I planned on putting together a recipe/menu book, but then thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be great if there were a whole bunch of different ideas, recipes, and inspiration from many different moms?” And then I had an idea………….. 

I decided to reach out and contact other Mommy Bloggers that wrote blogs based on feeding their children healthy, fresh foods.  I had asked them if they would like to work together and compile some great recipes and menus that would be valuable to others.  I also wanted them to tell their “story” or how they went from eating unhealthy to a more nutritionally balanced diet.  I received amazing feedback.  I ended up with 12 Moms who wanted to be a part of the project.
Each mom submitted their blog/website information, a detailed Bio about themselves, and a recipe for a Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Dessert, and Drink.  They also provided pictures of some of their creations.  The result is an amazing and inspirational Ebook.

What’s Been Going on Lately……

So, it’s been awhile since I have had a chance to blog.  A lot has been going on around here lately…I am working on several new projects, hosting a raw food booth at a local Farmers Market every Friday, and doing presentations/demos every time I get a chance!!  Here are some of the items that I have available!

As a family this summer we have been having a great time!!  We have already taken a vacation, raised caterpillars to butterflies, went to birthday parties, and had a sleepover!!!  What a fun summer so far!!

I have been doing quite  a few demonstrations lately, where I actually teach other moms to make green smoothies, fresh juices, non dairy nut mylks and they get to taste each of them.  These have been going over very well and every time I do a demo I meet amazing moms and hear amazing stories.  As I have been meeting new moms and doing these presentations I am hearing many of the same questions.  The number one question I seem to get is “what do you feed your kids on a regular basis?” so I have decided to take this question and pose it to other Mom Bloggers that are health conscious and together we are going to answer this question!!  We will be putting together a book of daily sample menus that we serve our children.  I think this will be a great resource for moms who want to serve their children healthier choices but do not know where or how to start.  I will be explaining and blogging more about this as the project is closer to be being done-so stay tuned!!!  In the mean time though here are a few of the things my kids have been enjoying this summer!!!

Sometimes people think that my kids are deprived of “treats” or “goodies”, but they get plenty of these!!!  I just choose to make them in a healthier way than the packaged junk that line the grocery store shelves!!!  Here are some yummy cookies that we made one afternoon!

To make these yummy treats we started with some  organic fruit juiced sweetened corn flakes that I ground up in my food processor to make a “flour”.

Next, we added some organic oats.

After these two items were mixed together we added some superfood powders like Lucuma, Maca, Mesquite, and Chia seeds.  We used a little raw honey, SunButter, and agave to bind it all together and formed them into “cookie” shapes.  I placed these onto some dehydrator trays and topped them with some Non dairy, soy free, nut free, gluten free chocolate chips.

We let these warm in the dehydrator for a few hours and then we enjoyed some fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies!!!

I never feel as though my kids are deprived – other people may see it that way-but I make sure that they are enjoying their foods whether I am serving them kale, mangos, or chocolate chips!!  I want my children to enjoy and be excited for their food, I do not want them to ever feel like I am forcing these foods on them.  I explain why we eat the way we do, why we avoid some foods at all costs, that an occasional treat is okay, and that  our bodies will be healthy and happy.

Celebrating 12 years and counting!!!!

My hubby and I just celebrated 12 years of marriage!!

We decided to drop our kiddos off at grandmas for some fun and we left for some fun too!!!

First stop was to Guitar Center for some “dreaming”… husband wants to purchase a new guitar!  Next, we visited a cool place in Plymouth called “Suburban Harvest” they have tons of Michigan made products plus fresh produce!!!  This family owned store is a gem for sure!!!

Our next stop was to the Red Pepper Deli in Northville which is a raw and vegan restaurant.  I have been wanting to try this place for a long time now but have had some convincing to do with my hubby!!  He was finally willing to give it a try and we actually had a great time!

My better half ordered some raw tacos:

These looked amazing and he willingly shared a few bites with me. 🙂

They were prepared with romaine leaves, walnut meat, fresh guacamole, fresh salsa, and some sunflower  sprouts….delicious!!!

I decided to go with a Redwich….which was a raw sandwich:

This was made with a dehydrated flax “bread” with cashew cheeze, mixed greens, sprouts, zucchini, and red pepper….also delicious!!!

The smoothie we shared it was called Pink Lady…. raspberry, banana, pineapple, lemon, agave, and ice…this was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!  I think the smoothie was our favorite part of the dinner!!!

I tried to get my husband to indulge in a “raw” piece of coconut-chocolate pie but he wasn’t interested and we were both pretty stuffed!

After dinner we walked around downtown Northville-

We ended our date night with a trip to the movies….we saw Iron Man 2…we are both superhero fans so we both enjoyed the flick!!

Well, we had fun and stayed healthy and here’s to another year!!!!!!!
