Almond Date Balls

Remember when I showed you how to make your own homemade date paste??

Well, now I am going to show you what you need to make with it!

These are great to freeze too! Just take them out and thaw for a bit or eat them frozen for a  really yummy treat!

Almond Date Balls

1/2 cup almond butter (make your own! recipe here!)

1/2 cup date paste

1/2 cup ground sunflower seeds

1/2 cup ground oats

1/2 cup almond flour

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Mix together the ground oats, sunflower seeds, and almond flour and set aside.  Mix together almond butter, date paste and chocolate chips in a seperate bowl.  Add dry ingredients in a little at a time until a dough forms.  The dough will be sticky-your hands will get messy!!  Take small pieces of the dough and roll into balls!!!  These can be eaten right away or kept in fridge for up to 5 days.  They can be placed in the freezer for up to 3 months!

  1. We’ve been making date balls from The Guide to Vegan Substitutions. We don’t usually follow the recipe, but use it as a guide. My 11 year old loves the make them. I had no idea we could freeze them! I’m tempted to make a large batch for when we’re on the go!
