It’s a Coconut Secret….SHHH…Pass it around!!

Have you ever heard of Coconut Secret?

It is a line of products derived from coconuts!!!

The line of products includes coconut flour, coconut crystals, coconut nectar, coconut vinegar, and coconut aminos.

All of their products 100% organic, gluten free, dairy free, and GMO free.

I was lucky enough to be sent a package containing their vinegar, crystals, and nectar!

I was so excited to try these out in my favorite recipes!!

First, I decided to use the coconut vinegar because we use apple cider vinegar a lot in my house!

We love to make kale salads and one of the ingredients we use is apple cider vinegar…..so this time around we substituted the coconut vinegar…

Oh yum!!!!

I didn’t think our kale salad could taste any yummier…but it actually did!!!

My kids LOVED it-but it didn’t take much convincing…kale salad is their favorite…..

It tasted very similar to apple cider vinegar but better!!!

Next, I wanted to use the coconut nectar…..

I decided to try it in my brownie recipe in place of the agave.

The ingredients are:

2 cups of raw cashews……

ground finely in the food processor.  Place into a mixing bowl.

Next,

2 cups of raw almonds

ground finely in the food processor.  Mix the ground almond flour and ground cashews together.

add in 1/4 cup of cacao powder or cocoa powder….

1/2 cup of coconut nectar or agave nectar…

a dash of sea salt

and I added some maca powder as well but this is optional and is not necessary in the recipe.

Mix together to form a dough….

then start to form it into squares!  I dipped mine into some cacao nibs…

You could eat them just like this….

but I like to warm them in my dehydrator…

Delicious!!!  I loved how they turned out with the coconut nectar!!!

So chewy and gooey!!

I will be using the coconut nectar again!

I also tried the coconut crystals in my homemade lemonade recipe-

fresh squeezed lemon, water, ice and coconut crystals!!!

Delicious!!!  No picture though!!!  LOL

I am really excited about these products and very impressed with the nutritional values as well….for example..2 tablespoons of the vinegar has 5 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein!!  That is amazing!

I found these products at my local health food store which was good because we went through them FAST!!!

Have you ever tried any of these products??

  1. This looks so great. I am glad you are sharing how you like them. I have coconut vinegar here, but haven’t tried it yet. I was unsure where to start. I also have coconut flour but have not tried that yet either:). Today my sister was just asking me about a good brand of coconut extract for baking, but maybe she could also use the coconut nectar. I will pass your blog onto her. Thanks

    • Hmmmm….maybe that would be a good idea…I haven’t used the flour either….not sure what you could do there…some kind of cookie dough may be good!!

  2. How do you make your kale salads? I’ve never tried making one before but bought a couple of bunches at the store today and I’m ready to try it out!
I would LOVE to try the Coconut Secret Products. YUM! What are the coconut crystals?

  3. I have to say that all of it sounds amazing, but in particular – the brownies! I will definitely have to make those sometime soon! Sounds very yummy!!!

  4. I have the aminos and the vinegar but I really want to try the crystals and the nectar, too! I just use the aminos in marinades or anything that calls for nama shoyu. I can’t wait to try your kale salad with the coconut vinegar! It’s hard to imagine it tasting any better, but I’m willing to try. 🙂 I know what I’m having for lunch tomorrow!

  5. Those brownies look amazing! I want to make them. I have used the coconut vinegar in salad dressings and love it. Do you have your kale salad recipe online? Since you talk about it so much, I would love to try it! Thanks, Samantha!

  6. Never heard of these Samantha, thank you for sharing!

I HAVE to try those brownies of yours! Wow, I am going to have to find the agave. Do you think they have it at Better Health?

  7. Oh, I just posted about the coconut aminos! I didn’t know about the other products; I’ll have to look for them!
